Re: Call The Coach-NOW!!!
Brent Rausch and Greg Alexander are having a good week of practice and Coach said he'd feels confident if he had to put either one of them in the game.
He said he wouldn't mind running some special plays for Inoke. He said he's one of their best football players and they need to utilize all the talent they have. He even said he wouldn't mind using him at slot.
Blaze Soares is close to coming back. He's out for SJSU but could be back as early as next week @ Fresno St.
Rocky is back and will help add depth to the DT position.
Lots of changes on kickoff and punt coverage teams. There will be a lot of starters playing ST including Adam Leonard.
David Farmer is back and will be huge in being an extra pass blocker for the QB.
Losing Keith is tough but other guys are stepping up. Laupepa Letuli is back and he adds a lot of strength and determination to the o-line. Coach says he has a mean streak.
After watching film of SJSU, he believes Tomey is right when he says this is his best team. He said, ever since they put in that Cal transfer at QB, they've been much better on offense. He said they are very similar to the offenses Tomey had at UH. The only difference is, they run their offense out of the spread. They want to move the chains w/ a solid running game and short passing game. They're very concerned about their RB #34 Yonus Davis. He didn't play last year against UH but will be ready for this game. Mack believes he will be as good as any RB we will see. He said the defense will need to be on their toes and make sure they tackle this kid. They're best WR, Jurovich is out w/ mono. He's their best deep threat and killed us last year at their place. The strength is their team is defense, particularly D-line. He said they have 2 D-lineman that are better than any d-lineman Notre Dame has. They also have a solid secondary. They lost Dwight Lowery but they got a transer from Oregon State and they haven't missed at beat w/ him in there.
He said he has really stressed forcing turnovers to his defense. He said they have been put in bad situations but they still need to hit harder, strip the ball and get more INT's. He said this is basically the same defense they had last year. They just have to find that hunger that they had last season. He still believes this team will turn it around. He wants the fans to not give on the team and fill the stadium up this week. He said the team plays much more harder when the crowd is full. The players feed of that energy.

Great post uhwarrior23! It'll be very interesting if they put funaki in for a special play with him at slot. Imagine the confusion with graunke and funaki in there at the same time. Bet the SJST defense will be really confused. I'm glad the coaches are getting creative, hopefully it will result in W's.
